Having Synesthesia and specifically  seeing the tambour of sound, I wanted to do an underpainting that would show these specific lines and shapes. These shapes of tambour map out most every piece I do. In Light Sister all colors and shapes grow out of this blue print of sound. You can see where the music was flowing from (left bottom corner) and how is carries up and throughout the piece. Created outside in early May, I was so moved by the light, it transcended into the spectrum rippling out into and through my sound lines. There are also buds and seeds from trees that were above me falling into the paint as I worked. I kept a few to show the marriage between what I was creating and the environment responsible for creating it.
